Our Oratory Drama pupils travelled to the West End for a performance of Dear England.
On Thursday 30 November, our GCSE and A Level Drama students went to see (or more importantly hear) the sound design in the play Dear England, which is about Gareth Southgate and the England team's progress under his leadership. It stars renowned actor Joseph Fiennes.
It was an incredible performance, which had heart, laughs and really captured the mood of the nation at the time and now. Everyone spoke of how much they enjoyed it, even if they weren’t interested in football and the students were able to make a plethora of notes for their live theatre evaluations. It runs until 13 January and is in the cinemas from 25 January. We cannot recommend it enough!
Huge thanks to the sound designer for the production, Tom Gibbons (OS 1997-2002), for helping to arrange tickets and for this memorable experience for our students.
