We want The Oratory to be open and accessible to more children. More children who can experience what you know The Oratory has to offer. A girl or boy from any life background should feel able to apply to us, we want to encourage their determination to make the most of their talents and nurture their development. We want children with ability, but without means, to have a shining future at The Oratory. We want to send children from every part of society out to the best universities, then out into a world in which they can be outstanding.
We believe that the best way to achieve further growth is through a Bursary Fund that can be supported by annual giving. This will not only support the number of bursaries we can award in any one year but will also secure the long-term future of the bursary programme.

In his final year at The Oratory, Ramon was awarded the prestigious Norfolk Prize for top academic student, excelling in his A-Levels before studying Classics at Cambridge. He later pursued an MSc in Management at Bath, followed by an immersive year of French language study in Switzerland.
His journey was made possible through a scholarship and bursary, allowing him to commute as a day boy before receiving a transformational boarding bursary for his final two years. “This support enabled him to focus on his studies and show others what can be achieved through hard work,” says his mother.
Ramon reflects, “The Oratory shaped who I am today. I was inspired by my teachers, developed a passion for ancient languages, theology, and philosophy, and found a love for learning that led me to Cambridge.”
Now a management trainee at L’Oréal in London, he thrives in the fast-paced beauty industry.
A true testament to the impact of transformational bursaries, Ramon carries the Oratorian ethos forward.
