On Saturday afternoon, we watched the world record-breaking scenes of Old Oratorian Lukas Haitzmann (OS 2013-18) as he completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge – a 3000 mile race from La Gomero in the Canary Islands to Antigua & Barbuda. He set off on 12 December with 27 other teams from around the world. Lukas – ‘The Wild Oarsman’ – was one of five solo participants. He was the first solo rower to finish after 59 days – and has set a new world record as the youngest person to row any ocean!

I am sure you’ll agree this was an impressive challenge and an incredible achievement. Well done Lukas!
