OLD Oratorian Morgan MacRae has been crowned Rams Rugby's September Player of the Month.
Previously a hooker or back row, the former Wales 7s ace has settled into midfield seamlessly and crossed the whitewash five times in the opening four National One games of the season.
This included doubles at home to Dings Crusaders and Tonbridge Juddians, along with a late consolation in defeat at Sale FC.
Morgan’s break against Dings, which saw him stumble just short of the try line before Max Hayman collected his own grubber for the National League Try of the Week in Round Two, also attracted a record-breaking 120,000-plus views on social media for the club.
He picked up 42 per cent of the fan vote with Willo Bicknell (25 per cent) finishing as runner-up.
Mike Cooke and Axel Kalling-Smith were the other players shortlisted following an excellent opening month in which Rams won three of their four games.
