Leadership Loquitur Talk

Our 6th Formers were joined by Old Oratorian Tim Cain MBE (OS 1976-80) for a virtual Loquitur talk on 1 December. Tim’s talk was called: ‘Values Based Leadership - Doing the right thing on a difficult day when nobody is watching.’

Tim is a Leadership Professional and Leadership Mentor. He served as a professional infantry officer for 28 years and 14 years in a mountain rescue team.
His specialisation is innovative training and authentic leadership. He was appointed MBE for work in this field in 2005.
He is well versed in behavioural science and has an in depth understanding of the relationship between leadership, values, motivation, teamwork and performance.
He led the Values Based transformation of training culture within the British Army’s individual training organisation based on authentic leadership, positive psychology, learner ownership  and role modelling of high performance values based behaviour.

Key points from his talk included practical advice on how to lead by example and how to set goals.

Thank you to Tim for giving up his time so generously.
