Old Oratorian News |
Last night, Old Oratorian, Nkumbe Ekaney QC (OS 1984-86) gave a virtual talk to our 6th Formers. Nkumbe spoke about his career in the Law sector. He is joint Head of Chambers at 1GC Family Law and has extensive High Court practice which encompasses all areas of Children Law. He was appointed to the Queen’s Counsel in 2011 and has been a Deputy High Court Judge since 2017.
The pupils asked many questions such as why he decided to work in the Law sector, what attributes are needed for a career in Law and how the Oratory School helped him in his career. Nkumbe spoke about the friendships he made at The Oratory and how boarding prepared him for life after school.
Nkumbe finished by offering to give advice to any pupils who were interested in a career in Law. Thank you to Nkumbe for giving his time so generously.
