ADI Hector ended a 30-year-old Oratory School record as he smashed an incredible 202 not out to kick off Cricket Week against The Nomads.
The newly-elected sports prefect for 2025/26 was in sensational form to take the top spot from Director of Sport Steve Tomlinson, who had made a phenomenal 200 not out against Emeriti back in 1995 prior to playing for Glamorgan.
Former Middlesex and Gloucestershire batsman Dan Housego now sits third in the list following his 179 against Bradfield College in 2007.
Hector’s astonishing display saw the South African hit 26 fours and three sixed in 134 balls, Oratory declaring on 319-4 after 38.1 overs as Jake Jackson (41) and Rudi Derbyshire (39) also chipped in with handy knocks.
Talented multi-sportsman Charlie Burton (3-57), one of Rams Rugby’s stand-out Colts, made a couple of early breakthroughs, but Oratory were forced to settle for a draw as Moshin Raman (66), Stuart Reeve (72no) and the hosts’ own guest Will Underhay (28) guided their side to 253-5.
