The 'Oratory Family' at its best

On Thursday 5 November, two of our sixth formers began making phone calls to Old Oratorians. These calls are part of the ‘Community Service’ co-curricular programme that pupils attend every week, which sees the pupils taking part in a wide range of co-curricular activities.

As England enters a second lockdown, the timings of these phone calls seem quite pertinent as more and more people become isolated from friends and family. At times like these we need to ensure that our school community is coping well.

Elsie and Nell, two of our fifty new female pupils, thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the Old Oratorians, many of whom were at school in the 1950s and 1960s. They heard all about their time at The Oratory and what they have accomplished since then. Elsie and Nell gave an update on news from The Oratory including our academic success, the move to co-education and recent sporting achievements.

Old Oratorians are very much still part of the Oratory family and we look forward to many more interesting conversations over the coming weeks.
