From Friday, 13th February at 8am, the FitzAlan House Prefects and House Staff will be embarking upon a 24-hour continuous static bike ride to raise money for the Back Up Spinal Cord Injury Charity. This charity has provided crucial initial and ongoing support to a parent of a member of Fitzalan who suffered from a life-changing spinal injury.
There will be two static bikes set up in the Common Room of the house, with each participant cycling for four hours to ensure each bike is pedalled continuously over this 24-hour period.
Donating to the Back Up Spinal Cord Injury charity supports the charity's ambition of helping those affected by spinal cord injury to achieve three goals:
Goal One: Living Confidently – Empowering people with a spinal cord injury with the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to live a full and independent life.
Goal Two: Everyone Thriving – Ensuring all individuals affected by spinal cord injury can reach their full potential.
Goal Three: Meaningful Connections – Creating opportunities for people affected by spinal cord injury to connect with others in similar situations to achieve their goals.
Any and all donations, no matter the size, add up to create significant change and show support towards the charity and the people that it helps every day.
Together, we can make an impact!
Thank you for your benevolence.
